Sat 8th, 9:00-10:15 (P) A First Person History of R&F Paint
Handmade Paints began in a basement in Brooklyn, NY in 1988, but it was heir to a tradition that went back to the 1940s. Its founding was a matter of serendipity, based on a few lucky accidents, but it’s almost twenty-five year history is a result of hard work. This talk will cover not only the history of R&F but the development of the encaustic movement in the US to which R&F's history is inextricably bound.
