Kathrine studied fine art at San Antonio College, with a concentration in ceramics and painting. She studied stone carving under Rachman Ulmer. Her brother, artist Steven DaLuz, introduced her to encaustics leading her to create stone and cosmic inspired abstract paintings. Kathrine is represented by AnArte and Long Hall Galleries in San Antonio Texas.

In the paper studio you will learn the art of working with a fresh sheet of paper and your own collage materials to create a thick sheet of paper that will be wrapped around a panel for encaustic layering. Joetta Jupe will guide you through the paper and collage portion of the workshop. Kathrine DaLuz Maple will provide examples of finished work that has been enhanced with a variety of encaustic techniques. You will be able to take home your own canvas for adding encaustic glazes in your own studio. Material Fee: $15
