Josie Rodriguez

Josie Rodriguez is a visual artist who uses wax in her work for its luminous, transparent qualities. Her newest body of encaustic work, comprising paintings, sculpture and artists books, will be on exhibition at the San Diego International Airport through March 2012. Luminous Layers explores the themes of connection, loss, growth, resilience and metamorphosis as they relate to the natural world.

She will take you from start to finish using photographs of artwork in process, design plans, installation and the finished exhibition so that you can benefit from her experience as you make your own ideas a reality.
