IEA's 2013 International Juried Show will run for three weeks at Eggman and Walrus.The gallery show opening will be Friday, November 1st, from 7:00-9:00pm at Eggman and Walrus. The opening will coincide with Santa Fe's Gallery Night. All of the museums will be open with free admission and the galleries will be open late. This is a well attended, monthly occurrence in Santa Fe and a wonderful time to host an amazing international juried show.
Bonny Leibowitz has been an influential participant of the Dallas art community since the late '80s when she moved to Dallas. The artist studied at Temple University's Tyler College of Art in Philadelphia then worked at a Dallas gallery and eventually began exhibiting in the region and throughout the southwest. Her one person shows include those in Dallas, Palm Springs, Chicago, Hawaii and Santa Fe, to name a few.
Bonny is the owner of The Encaustic Center in Richardson, Texas. The Encaustic Center is a unique facility where instructors teach the art of painting with wax. The Encaustic Centeroffers beginner and intermediate workshops and studio workdays along with supplies and special events such as demonstrations, exhibitions, and guest artists.
Bonny's most recent body of work Symbiosis was presented in the Blurr exhibition with Ben Terry at Cohn Drennan Contemporary, Dallas, TX, a solo exhibition at Museum of Art at Midwestern State University, Wichita Falls.
